Thomas J. McHugh, Sr., of Pocono Summit and formerly of Lake Ariel, passed away Monday, May 23rd at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Pocono. His wife of 37 ½ years, the former Barbara Rickley passed away in 2008.

Born in Morristown, NJ, he was the son of the late Thomas D. and Jean Marie Surace – McHugh. He was a graduate of Morristown High School and was a member of the St. Thomas More / St. Mary’s Parish Community. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and was dedicated to his faith. For many years, Tom owned and operated Suburban Express Moving Company in Morristown, NJ. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by H. John Davis Heating Company in Mt. Pocono.

He was a loving husband, father, best friend, grandfather, and family man.

Surviving are sons Thomas J. McHugh, Jr. and his wife Lauren of Forest Hill, MD. and Robert D. McHugh and his wife Joanna of Pocono Summit; grandchildren T.J., Mary Beth, Bobbie, Jena, and Ian; nieces and nephews.
