Stephen G. Jarnecki, 64 of Lake Ariel, passed away Monday evening. His wife of 43 years is the former Lynn Cannon.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Thaddeus and Millie Salute – Jarnecki. He was a graduate of Lindenhurst High School. Prior to retirement, Stephen was a Crime Scene Photographer for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and he taught Crime Scene Photography at the Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy in Quantico, VA. He was an Honorary Member of the Lindenhurst Fire Department Hook, Ladder & Engine Co. No. 2. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking.

Also surviving are his daughters Stephanie Chewing and her husband Paul of Bumpass, VA, and Dianne Collins and her husband David of Lindenhurst, NY; a sister Valerie Harvey of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren Joseph and Emily Collins, Madison and Nicholas Chewing; nephews Jason and Eric.

Friends may call on Sunday, January 29^th from 1:00pm – 4:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel, Pa 18436.

Private cremation to follow at the Lake Region Crematory in the James Wilson Funeral Home.
