Our families' lives have always crossed paths for the last 50 years, at least. It was always such a pleasure for Shirley & me to see Diane, give her a hug, and catch up on things. As it has always been in the Newfoundland-Sterling-Hamlin community, "WE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN REAL CLOSE, BUT WE WERE NEVER FAR APART". Sometimes a "drive-by wave" was enough...just knowing that someone was OK. Our daughter, Tina, asked me, "Why does it hurt, SO MUCH MORE, to lose some people in our lives?" I think the answer might be that some people are a part or our lives, but others are cradled in our hearts? DIANE, you were always "cradled in our hearts!" We will miss dear Diane, and her HEART OF GOLD!
