Obituaries » Walter Buehring November 13, 2014 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Walter Buehring of Hamlin died Thursday at Geisinger Community Medical Center following a brief illness. His wife of 33 years is the former Marlene Buttachio. Born in Scranton, son of Martha Drescher Buhring of Sterling and the late Eric Buhring, he had worked at Trane Company, Dunmore for 20 years, then trucking, and most recently he was a driver for his son Jason’s logging business. Also surviving are sons Daniel of Lake Ariel and Jason and Matthew at home; grandsons Tyler and Mason Buehring of Lake Ariel; brothers Fred, Erich, James, and Carl all of Sterling; sisters Betty Ann Lake of Auburn, WA and Linda Horeczy of East Haddam, CT; several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00am in St. Thomas More Church 105 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel. Anyone attending the Mass is asked to go directly to the church Monday morning. Friends may call Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel. Interment, Madisonville Union Cemetery, Madisonville.
