A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, March 10 at 6:00PM in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel.

Timothy Patrick Recker, 71 of Wallenpaupack Lake Estates, passed away Wednesday at home. His wife of 49 years is the former Madeline Walsh.

Born in Greenpoint, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur and Bridget Frances Clifford – Recker. He was a graduate of Cathedral Seminary Prep and received a Bachelor of Art’s degree from St. Francis College. Prior to retirement, he was a Fire Marshall for the New York City Fire Department.

Timothy enjoyed reading books. He loved to travel down south every year to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Cape Canaveral ,Florida especially to watch space shuttle launches and cruise ships at the Port. He loved spending time with family and friends and making new dishes every holiday for all to try. He was a proud loving father to all of his children, including their companion’s  Jerry & Michelle. He was the proudest Grandpa to his grandson, Dillon Robert, whom he thought about daily, loved spending time with and watching him grow .

Also surviving are his daughter Laura Beskovoyne and her husband Jerry of Lake Ariel; sons Brian Recker of Queens, NY, and Matthew Recker and his fiancée’ Michelle Miller of Dunmore; a sister Bridget Recker of Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers Arthur Recker and his wife Mary of Freehold, NJ, and Rodger Recker and his wife Elaine of Queens, NY; a grandson Dillon Robert Beskovoyne; many nieces and nephews.

Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
