Rudolph J. (Rudy) Kunz, 86, of Endwell, NY and formerly of Dunmore, PA and Lake Sheridan, Nicholson, PA, passed away on Saturday at his home. He was born on June 22, 1935 in Scranton, PA to the late Rudolph and Beatrice (Harwood) Kunz. He was predeceased by his wife Ellen (Judge) Kunz in 2010, his brother Walter Kunz in 2021, and his granddaughter Nicole Edwards in 2001. He greatly missed his wife of 51 years.

Surviving are children Rudolph Kunz (IV) and wife Maria (Regan); Karen Kunz; and Ann Edwards and husband Rich; and grandchildren Aidan, Brendan and Sean Kunz, and Ryan and Jessica Edwards.

He was a graduate of Dunmore High School and attended Penn State University (Scranton Campus). He joined the U.S. Navy Reserves, serving as a Radioman on the USS Ticonderoga, an aircraft carrier, while working as a Manufacturing Engineer for IBM in Owego and Endicott, NY until his retirement.

“Bunkie” loved to fish, operate the CB radio, play the piano, and work on his model railroad, and was a member of the Endicott Elks Lodge. He was a founding member of the Dunmore Historical Society, and was deeply involved in genealogy until his death.

He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He loved to tell a story and was one of a kind. Fair Winds and Following Seas.
