A celebration of Ron’s life will be held Saturday, December 9, at 11am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel with words of remembrance by family and friends.

Friends may call Saturday morning from 10am until the time of the service in the funeral home.

There will also be funeral services at a date and time to be announced in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Honesdale.

In lieu of flowers the family encourages memorial contributions be made to the donor’s favorite charity.

Ronald D. Heater

Ronald D. Heater, Honesdale, passed away early Wednesday morning at home surrounded by his family.   His wife, Nancy Chapman Heater passed away in 1972.  Upon Nancy’s passing, Ron met and subsequently married Lula Christine “Chris” Hill and they enjoyed 49 years of marriage.

Born 1936 at home in Lake Ariel, he was the son of the late Norbert “Butter” and Eleanore Samson Heater.  He was a graduate of the former Lake Consolidated School in Lake Ariel.  Ron was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Honesdale.  He was a United States Army veteran.  Prior to his retirement he established Wayne Enterprises as a bill collector.

Ron had a deep and abiding faith.  He would share his faith through bible study in prisons and with people around the world.

Also surviving are his daughters Kimlyn Bruner and her husband Robert, Jr. and Caroline Knee; stepdaughter Dawn; siblings Carol Boshinski and her husband Charles, Nancy Eastwood and her husband Rev. Jon and Larry Heater; grandchildren Jason, Royce, Danielle, Nancy, Chrisenta, Dennis, Jr., Selina, Keith, Ryan, Kayla, Kirstin, Danny and Kassy; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; countless friends.

He was also preceded in death by his son Ronald N. heater and stepdaughter Vicky.
