Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Roberta Anna Schafer Hollister, 88 of Lake Ariel, went home to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully in her sleep on Saturday morning at home following an illness. Her husband of 65 years, Bruce Horace Hollister passed away July 24, 2019. The couple were married on November 12, 1953 in the Elmdale Bible Church.
Born February 22, 1935 in Greentown, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth And Demaris Gabriel – Schafer. She was a member of the Lake Consolidated School Class of 1953. She served as a caretaker/housekeeper for a close family friend for many years. Also, she was a CNA at St. Mary’s Villa Nursing Home for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Elmdale Bible Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren were one of the greatest joys in her life.
Also surviving are a daughter Deborah Gromlich and her husband Dale of Madison Twp; sons Bradley Hollister and his wife JoAnne of Jefferson Twp, and Tom Hollister and his wife Susan of South Canaan; a daughter-in-law Joann Hollister of Lake Ariel; grandchildren Stephanie, John, Stacy, Jason, Chad, Ashley, Benjamin, and Grace; great grandchildren Tyler, Cameron, Cheyenne, Autumn, Brayden, Zane, and Finley; many nieces, nephews, cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son Darrell Hollister and brother Kenneth Schafer.
The family would like to thank the Traditional Hospice for their compassionate care, especially Mary, Randi, Melissa and Holly.

Private Interment will be held at the convenience of the family, Elmdale Cemetery, Jefferson Twp.
