We knew Richard for many years, first as our Electrolux man, later we would run into him in Walmart. He was always so pleasant and helpful. He will be missed by many. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

I was shocked and saddened to read of Richards passing. My trips to Wal-Mart will not be the same without seeing and talking with Richard. I did not know of his background and now understand his high intellect that was so obvious. He was admired and respected by anyone who got to know him even in a small way. Alex Lilje

I had the pleasure of working with Richard at WalMart. Richard will be sorely missed. He was a lovely and pleasant man. Also a very hard worker that enjoyed life to the fullest!!

Richie, Your kind and gentle spirit will be sorely missed by us all. The pride and joy you had in your family, and the resilience you showed in the face of life's many adversities was admirable. (You may have had some pretty good role models for that). Every friend of mine that met you (even once), remarked about what a really nice person you were. Rich, that remained the case your whole life. You always stayed happy and positive, no matter what the situation or circumstances. Some of my fondest memories (and earliest travels), were visiting you & your growing family in New York. You made sure I got to see as much as possible of a town you had grown to love, and even trekked out to Queens, so we could attend the World's Fair. Your visits to Chicago were ones we all looked forward to, and enjoyed so much, as we had the pleasure of your company, even for a brief time. I will miss your gentle ways, sweet smile, kind words, and sense of humor. You were truly one of a kind, and I'm glad you were "ours", though for far too brief a time. My deepest sympathies to your family, who misses you dearly. Love you Richie!

Dan and family we are so sorry about your dads passing, we knew him from working at Walmart .He always had a smile and a kind word for all, he could figure out change in head quicker than most people could by using a calculator . We became friends with him over the years he will truly be missed.
