Richard Allen Van Wert, Sr.
Rich was a talented carpenter, plumber and electrician, but above all was his love of music. He was either strumming the guitar, collecting records, making up words to songs or humming along while he worked on any one of his children’s or grandchildren’s houses.
Surviving are sons, Rich Jr. and his wife, Stacey; Jason and his wife, Dena; the daughter he always wanted, Donna O’Malley and her husband, Ed; and finally, his loving companion of more than 40 years, Cookie. He was a proud grandfather of five granddaughters and two grandsons.
Services will be for immediate family only per his request.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
