A celebration of Richard’s life will be held Saturday October 10th at noon at the family’s home at 212 Avoy Rd. Lake Ariel with Rev. Patricia Lee officiating The family will host a gathering immediately following the service.

Richard A. Le Clair, Lake Ariel, passed away October 7th at home surrounded by his family and wife of 64 years, Nancy J. Schmidt.

Born in Brooklyn, NY he was educated at Newark College of Engineering, New Jersey and studied  mechanical engineering. He went on to have a 43-year career with the Public Service Electric and Gas Company of New Jersey, retiring as a senior gas inspector. A man of strong faith, goodness, and kindness Richard was a Christian Scientist.

Also surviving are daughters Alice E. Le Clair and her husband Marcus of Somerset, NJ, Nancy A. Le Clair and her husband Roger Mortimer of Mansfield, MA, Charlotte L. Hewitt of Staten Island, NY, Eris JLC Mackey and her husband William of Canterbury, CT and Miriam J. Le Clair of Lake Ariel;  grandchildren Tavish, Nicole, Shawn and his wife Megan, Tegan, Mark, Jamie and Tovin;  great grandchildren Cheyanne, Skylar, Kalie, Allie and Aidan;  a brother Albert Reed; and his faithful dog, Jake.

He was preceded in death by his mother Anna Thiele Le Clair; siblings James Reed, Mary Alberts, and Edna Kruger.
