Parastas service will be at 6:30pm in the Funeral Home. Friends may also call on Friday, September 9th from 10:00am – 11:00am in the Church. Interment, St. Tikhon’s Cemetery, S. Canaan. Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Peter Lazorack, 72 of South Canaan, passed away Saturday morning at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. His loving wife of 21 years is the former Cindy Lamberton. Born in Carbondale, he was the son of the late John and Julia Zielinski – Lazorack. He was graduate of Waymart High School Class of 1968. He was the owner of Twin Springs Farm in South Canaan. He was a member of St. Basil’s Russian Orthodox Church, Simpson and the Friends of Varden Conservation Area. Pete served as a South Canaan Township Supervisor for two terms. Pete’s life as a farmer began at the age of 13, when his grandfather, also Peter Lazorack, passed away at an early age. He loved working with his animal’s side by side with “granny” and could handle heavy farm equipment second to none. Like his father he was avid reader or non-fiction and always found the time to lend a helping hand. He never hesitated to participate in community functions. Also surviving are a sister Joanne Wiszneski of Telford, Pa; a brother John Lazorack of Hamlin; aunts Sophia Burkhardt and Eva Balevich both of S. Canaan; uncles Metro Lazorack of Harrisonburg, Va, and Frank Zielinski of Archbald; mother-in-law Janet Lamberton of S. Canaan; sister’s-in-law Julie Colville of Honesdale, Nancy Welles of Waymart, and Jennifer Enslin of S. Canaan; brother’s-in-law Bradley Lamberton of Honesdale, and Jeffrey Lamberton of S. Canaan; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Russell J. Lamberton; sister-in-law Debra Houck; brother-in-law Rusty Lamberton. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 9th at 11:00am in St. Basil the Great Orthodox Church, 9 Lord Ave. Simpson, Pa by Rev. Jason Franchak, Rector.
