Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a date and time to be announced in the St. Thomas More Church 105 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel by Rev. Stephen Stavoy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to your local Special Olympics organization.

Megan Ashley Pitino, 27, of Greentown, passed away on Friday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.

Born March 16, 1993, she was the daughter of Giovanni “John” and Kelli Lynn Winters Pitino of Greentown. She was a graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School Class of 2011 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from Keystone College. Megan was an addiction Case Manager at Dunmore Comprehensive Treatment Center. She was also a Track & Field Coach for Area P Special Olympics. She loved taking photographs and loved reading books.

Also surviving are her brothers Joseph Matthew Pitino and Michael Anthony Pitino both of Greentown; fiancé Daniel Laub of Greeley; grandmother’s Bonnie Winters and Vincenza Pitino both of Greentown; Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
