Marlene Casal, Lake Ariel, died Saturday at the home of her daughter Cathy.   She was the widow of Ettore “Etty” Casal who died in 2005.

Born 1945 in Scranton she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Kathryn Vonderhey Kruchinksi.   She was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated School and was a member of the St Thomas More St Mary’s Parish Community.  Prior to her retirement she had been employed as a nurses aid both at the Julia Ribaudo Nursing Home as well as in home health.

Surviving are daughters Cathy Skirpan and her husband Greg of Cortez, Lisa Chowance and her husband Jeff of Peckville and Amy Casal of Lake Ariel;  a sister Linda Klim of Lake Ariel; brothers Robert Kruchinksi and his wife Roberta of Lake Ariel and Anthony Kruchinski and his wife Doreen of Moscow;  grandchildren Sarah, Annie, Joseph and Katie Skirpan;  nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister Karen Stark.
