Juliana Romaniw

October 18, 2023

Juliana Romaniw, formerly of Clifton NJ, died Wednesday morning at Tiffany Court in Kingston, PA. Her husband was the late Harry Romaniw who died in 1997.

Born in Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Cjaka) Derco. After leaving Czechoslovakia, she lived in Italy and Austria before immigrating to the United States, where she met and married Harry, raised a family, and became an active member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Passaic, NJ. She worked for Marcal Paper Products in Elmwood Park NJ until her retirement.  Throughout her life she had a passion for staying active with gardening, cooking, baking and walking all throughout her community on daily errands.  When she wasn’t “on the move,” she enjoyed relaxing with Danielle Steel novels and solving word search puzzles.

Juliana is survived by a son Michael Romaniw and his wife Valerie; a daughter Juliana Hoffman; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by an older brother; an older sister; a grandson Justin; and a son-in-law Ronald Hoffman II.

Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Tiffany Court at Kingston and Reliable Hospice for their compassionate care.

Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family on a date to be set in the future, following cremation which took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel, PA.
