Obituaries » James Watt, Sr. June 11, 1930 - June 6, 2017 Cemetery James Wilson Funeral Home Share your Memorial with Family & Friends James Watt, Sr. of Sterling died early Tuesday morning at Allied Skilled Nursing in Scranton following an illness. His wife was the former Carol Pickering who died in 2012. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, son of the late James and Elizabeth Stevenson Watt, he had worked as a sheet metal worker. He was a graduate of Riverside Secondary School and was a veteran of the Royal Air Force earning the rank of Senior Air Craftsman. Surviving are a son Stephen and his wife April of S. Abington Twp.; daughters Jacqueline Short and her husband James of Concord, NC, Elaine Mortarulo and her husband Tony of Bath, PA, and Cheryl Patterson and her husband Scott of Sterling, PA; a brother Andrew of Scotland; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son James, Jr.; brothers Tom and Billy; and sisters Mary and Nettie. Interment will be private at a later date in East Canaan Cemetery, S. Canaan. Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
