George E. Kragh, 89 of Lake Ariel, died Sunday evening at home following a courageous battle with cancer. His wife of 65 years the former Constance Bogdon died in 2019.

Born September 1, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Ernest and Lucy Kragh. Prior to retirement, George was an Executive for Pitman-Moore Inc. in Fort Washington, PA. He was a member of the Lake Wallenpaupack Yacht Club. He enjoyed building remote control sailboats and racing them with friends at the Red Maples Golf Course Pond. He was a United States Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. George could often be found with a good book in his hands as he was an avid reader and history buff. Above all, George was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, always celebrating life.

Surviving are his daughter Susan Young and her husband James of Lake Ariel; sons Michael Kragh and his wife Denise of Galloway Twp., NJ and George Kragh and his wife Jessica of Martin’s Creek, Pa; sisters Margie Powers of Florida and Rosemary Hintze of Ozone Park, NY; brother John Kragh of Goshen, NY; grandchildren Brianna, Michael, James, Matthew, Kiersten, Megan, and Kelsey; great-granddaughter Eva Marie Young

He was preceded in death by his sister Marian Diggons.
