A funeral service will take place on Friday at 10 a.m. in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel, Pa. 18436.

Military honors will be rendered.

Private interment, Simon Cemetery, South Canaan.

Edwin G. Frisbie, 97, of Lake Ariel, passed away Saturday evening at home. His wife of 76 years is the former Frances Miller–Frisbie.

Born in Ledgedale, he was the son of the late Grover and Gladys Shaffer–Frisbie. He was a graduate of Lake Consolidated School class of 1943. Prior to retirement, Edwin was the parts and service manager at Sears in Dickson City. He attended the Free Methodist Church of South Canaan. He was a member of the American Legion Post 807, Paul A. Sweeney Memorial Post and the Thomas A. Snook VFW Post 6520. He was a United States Army veteran, having served in World War II.

Also surviving are his daughter, Sondra Budge of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Tegan Vought of Milwaukie, Ore. and Skye Amber Perry of Pittsburgh; a sister-in-law, Shirley Frisbie of Lake Ariel; niece, Veldora McCane of Maplewood; several nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Valerie Riddle; brothers, Alvie Frisbie and Joseph Frisbie.
