I kept in touch with Dave every few months since his retirement. We talked a minimum of one hour during each phone call, of course, it was mostly all about sports. But more importantly, Dave would give me some life skills advice on certain topics. Topics that are of great value in my life today. There’s not too many people that you can call a true friend. Dave J. O’Hare was a true friend. I will miss our conversations. RIP Dave

Dave gave me my first job when he willed his paper route to me when I was about 9 yrs old. The shock of responsibility did me a world of good. We played every kind of sport in our little backyard and drriveway in Malden, including epic whiffleball games. A few tears, and bumps and bruises built a bit of character, but we were none the worse for wear. Sorry I conked you on the head with a plastic bowling pin when we were very young, Thanks for all the fun you showed the kids when we came to visit. You always showed me a good example to follow, even though sometimes I veered off course. thanks for your service to our country big brother. See you in the clubhouse for a cold one. Jim O'Hare
