Clyde L. Van Sickle, 83 of Mt. Cobb, died Thursday morning at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. His wife of 33 years is the former Grace Butler. His first wife Bessie Van Sickle preceded him in death.

Born May 12, 1936 in Maplewood, he was the son of the late Leslie and Dorothy Zeiler Van Sickle. He was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated School. He was a Retired United States Army Veteran and was a graduate of the Pennsylvania Leadership Development Course, Basic Non – Commissioned Officer Course, and Instructor Trainer Course. He was awarded the NCO Professional Development Ribbon.

He had a love of antique classic cars and his 58 Chevy Cameo Pickup will be on display at the funeral home and lead the procession to Interment, driven by his brother Lloyd who shared that passion. Clyde had a long – standing reputation for taking great pride in meticulously grooming his lawn and this brought him great joy.

Also surviving is his daughter Sandra Van Sickle Jayne of Clarks Summit; a brother LLoyd Van Sickle and his wife Dolly of Old Forge; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Also preceded in death by sisters Lois Jayne and Naomi Franklin.
