Carol Lee Engler

Carol Lee Engler, age 68, of Honesdale, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born April 29, 1946 in Moscow, she was the daughter of the late Jerome and the late Blanche (Edwards) Stout. She attended Moscow High School and later obtained her GED from Easton High School. For most of her career she was employed by Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth, PA as a CNA.

Carol loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed flower gardening, traveling, crocheting and cooking and sharing her recipes but most of all she loved reading her bible and praying to God for peace and tranquility. During her time at Julia Ribaudo, Carol enjoyed praying with other residents, making hats for: Cancer Patients, the children of staff members, and would purchase christmas presents for a needy family every year.

She is survived by two daughters: Tarin Flyte of Nazareth, PA, Denise R. Szanati of Nazareth, PA and two sons: Rickey L. Engler of GA, Gregory D Engler of GA;  one sister: Rosemary Worden of Honesdale, PA and one brother: Jerome Stout, Jr. of Gouldsboro, PA; She also has seven grandchildren, Nichole, Thomas, Rebecca, Emily, Hannah, Dylan, and Braeden; four great-grandchildren, Trevor, Gavin, Madison, And Jayden.

She was predeceased in death by brothers Auther, James, Cyrus Stout, a granddaughter Olivia Engler.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, January 3 at James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel, with services by Rev. Edward Erb, Pastor of Grace Episcopal Church, Honesdale.

Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home,  Lake Ariel.
