Brian R. Henneforth

Brian R. “Uncle Buzzard” Henneforth, 52, a lifelong resident of Sterling, died Thursday in Regional Hospital of Scranton following an illness. His wife is the former Kathleen V. Genoar. The couple was married September 2, 2000.

Born September 14, 1962 in Endicott, NY, son of Lawrence L. of Sterling and the late Yvonne Blum Henneforth, he was an independent truck owner and operator. He was a former Sterling Twp. Road Maintenance Supervisor and  drove bus for Bill Henwood Busing. He was proud and passionate about his business Brian Henneforth Stakes, a sawmill and wooden stake business.

He loved being the founder and organizer of the Henneforth Family Camporama. He was a true raconteur. He was the first to help anyone in need. He was a great mentor and friend and his true passion was the role of being Dad.

Also surviving are daughters Renee Mullen and her husband Brian of Honesdale, Julianna Henneforth and her companion Yogas Hoffman of Waymart, and Marie Henneforth of Moscow; a son Christopher of Moscow; brothers Mark and his wife Lori and Aaron and his wife Catherine all of Newfoundland; grandchildren Colin and Brooke Mullen; nieces and nephews Amanda Allegrucci of Olyphant, Bethany Salak of Lake Ariel, and Caitlin and Matthew Henneforth of Newfoundland.

Funeral Services will be Monday at 11:00am in the Hamlin Assembly of God Church Rt. 191 Hamlin.

Friends may call Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel and Monday morning from 10:00-11:00 at the Church.

Interment, Sterling Cemetery, Sterling.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Brian’s honor to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation at www.komennepa.org or at 125 N. Washington Ave. Suite 260 Scranton, PA 18503.
