Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 26 at 11:30am in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Route 191 & Pine Grove Rd. South Sterling, Pa.

Barbara K. Phillips, 65 of Ledgedale, passed away Friday morning at Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center following an illness. Her husband of 47 years is Dale Phillips. 

Born November 25, 1955 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Kosteck and Josephine Martinkovitch Sledzinski. She was a graduate of Western Wayne High School Class of 1973. She was the owner of Barbara Phillips Beauty Salon for 45 years and a Partner in Phillips and Martin Concessions for 40 years. She was a 47 year member of the Ledgedale Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Sterling United Methodist Church. 

She enjoyed painting and doing any kind of arts and crafts.  She always enjoyed being in charge of games and activities at all events.  She was very kind and always put others’ needs in front of her own. She will be missed by many.

Also surviving are daughters Beverly Phillips and her companion Jeff Hennings of Newfoundland and Carrie Beveridge and her husband Ben of Colorado; sister Alice Christopher and her husband Ed of South Canaan; brothers Victor Sledzinski and his wife Marsha of Ledgedale and Stephen Sledzinski and his wife Susan of South Canaan; Grandchildren Merissa Phillips of Wyoming, Paige and Nicole Beveridge of Colorado; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by a half-sister Elizabeth Reed.
