Interment St. Catherine’s Cemetery Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Ann Klim February 2, 2023 Ann Klim, 98, Lake, Ariel, passed away Thursday afternoon in the Julia Ribaudo senior care center after an illness. She was the widow of Alex Klim, Sr., who passed away December 29, 1988. Born 1924 in the Green Ridge section of Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Antoinnette Sutkus Juskevitch and was a graduate of Scranton Central High School. After graduation she worked in an office in the undergarment industry in downtown Scranton. Ann moved to Lake Ariel with her husband Alex Klim, Sr. after they were married. They then opened an apple orchard where they grew their own apples, pressed their own cider and delivered apples to various bakeries. Throughout the years, Ann, dubbed by many as “The Apple Lady,” could be found helping to sell apples, fill baskets and share information about different varieties. Still in business today, Klim’s Orchard is operated by her son Alex, Jr. Also surviving are a son, Alex Klim, Jr and a daughter, Annette Van Wert; grandchildren, Michael Klim and his wife, Maggie, Michelle Bedford and her husband, Tom, Stephen Klim and his wife, Angela, Ashley Kromko and her husband, Curt, and Emily Klim; great grandchildren, Harper, and Piper Valentino, Dorian Klim, Lucy Bedford, Connor Kromko and and Raquel Klim; grandson in law Nicholas Valentino; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by siblings Cassie Phillips, Ralph, John, Monica and baby Edward Juskevitch. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10am in St. Thomas More Church, 108 Gravity Rd., Lake Ariel, celebrated by Rev. Stephen Bosomafi, pastor. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.
