Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, December 10th at 11:00am in St. Thomas More Church, 105 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call from 10:00am to 10:55am in the church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alice’s memory may be made to the Ledgedale Volunteer Fire Company, 529 Goose Pond Road, Lake Ariel, Pa 18436.

Alice M. Martin – Christopher, 74, of Honesdale, passed away Tuesday evening at Allied Services Hospice Center. Her husband of 5 years is Edward Christopher. Her first husband, Frank Martin passed away in 2012.

Born May 29, 1948 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Kosteck and Josephine Martinkovitch Sledzinski. She was a graduate of Lake Consolidated School Class of 1966 and attended Wayne Commercial School in Honesdale. Prior to retirement, Alice was the Branch Manager at Honesdale National Bank in Hamlin. For 40 years, she was a partner in Phillips and Martin Concessions. She was a lifelong member of the Ledgedale Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxillary. She was a former board member of the Southern – Wayne Chamber of Commerce and the Greene Dreher Fair Association. She was a member of the St. Thomas More / St. Mary’s Parish Community.

Alice’s other interests included making candles, gardening, visiting her many friends and relatives, and travel.

Also surviving are brothers Victor Sledzinski and his wife Marsha of Ledgedale, and Stephen Sledzinski and his wife Susan of South Canaan, brother in law Dale Phillips of Ledgedale; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Phillips and half sister Elizabeth Reed.
