Paul Adolfo Busillo lost his battle to Alzheimer’s on March 16, 2022, while residing at Riverside Health Care Center in Taylor, PA. Born in La Plata, Argentina, on September 27, 1935, he was the only son of the late Adolfo P. Busillo and Angela Fiorito-Busillo. When Paul was 13 years old, his parents came to America in search of an opportunity and better life that only this great country could offer. Not speaking one word of English, he was enrolled in Bayside High School, in Queens, N.Y. where he was a proud graduate and attended both Queens College and IBM Trade School.
In search of a more stable career after getting married and starting a family, he worked nights for The United States Postal Service for twenty years while working days at I.S.25, a high school, in Queens, where he was in charge of monitoring students lingering in the hallways that were disruptive. After retiring from both positions, he owned and operated his own driving school teaching students to drive where English was not their first language, and they were struggling to pass the exam as he was fluent in Spanish and English. Paul was also a United States Army Veteran.
Paul was an avid aficionado of soccer (always rooting for his Argentinian team) and loved to not only be a spectator but enjoyed playing hockey as well. The New York Islanders was his favorite team!
Surviving are his daughters, Angela DeVivo of Lake Ariel, PA, Dalia Attard of Lake Ariel, PA, Paula Busillo-Montero of Barcelona, Spain, and only son, Adolfo Busillo of Lake Ariel, PA; Grandchildren- Daniella DeVivo, Anthony Busillo, Steven Costa, Natalia Montalvo, Antonio Busillo, Isabella Busillo, Vanessa Conejero-Busillo, and a great grandson, Pol Ramirez-Conejero..
Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel, PA.
