Paul H. Berger, Sr., Maplewood, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday evening at home following an illness. His wife of 60 years, the former Yvonne L. McCane died in 2016.
Born December 25, 1934 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Henry and Pearl Sammon Berger. He was a heavy machine operator. He was of the Protestant faith.
Surviving are his children Paul H. Berger, Jr and his wife Angela, Virginia Swisher and Daniel Berger and his wife Wendy all of Lake Ariel; siblings Karen Lewis of Scranton, Jerry Berger of California, and Norman Berger of Marysville, Pa; grandchildren Donald, Daniel, Dawnelle, Andrew, Matthew, James and Rachel; 11 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and his companion, Beverly A. Gregory.
He was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Berger.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 10:30 am in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Road. Lake Ariel. with services by Rev. Daniel Henwood.
