Madeline Marie Whitosky, 90, of Lake Ariel and formerly a lifelong resident of Passaic, NJ, died Monday at her daughter Joyce’s home following an illness. Her husband of 47 years Edward Whitosky died in 1992.
Born March 12,1928 in Garfield, NJ. she was the daughter of the late Julius and Eva Weber Hanzl.
She had many great friends with whom she traveled frequently. She loved going to bingo with her granddaughter Darcie, reading, knitting and spending time laughing with, holding and cuddling her great-grandsons Noah and Danikan. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
She leaves behind her daughters Joyce Delgado of Lake Ariel, with whom she resided and Claudia Barto and her husband Charles of Paupak, a son Bruce Whitosky and his wife Antonia of Honesdale; grandchildren Jordan, Jared, Casey, Dustin and their companions Shelby and Angie with whom she resided and cared for her during her later years. Edward, Darcie, Matthew, Tina, and Jason; great grandchildren Noah, Danakin, Jason, Charlotte, Danielle, Jazmyne, Austin, Chris, Matt, and Alex; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Debiak of CT.
Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
Arrangements have been entrusted to and under the direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel, Pa.
