Carrie Lyn Martini, 45 of Hamlin, died Tuesday evening at her home.
Born in La Mesa, CA she was the daughter of Carole Geary Homeyer and the late Roger G. Homeyer. She was a 1991 graduate of Western Wayne High School and earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from Kutztown University. She was a Christian and an active member of Light of Christ Church, Mt. Cobb. She was the owner of Yard Art Landscaping and Destiny Karate Tang Soo Do both in Hamlin.
Carrie brought fearless energy and enthusiasm to all of her endeavors. She saw art and God in nature and used symbolism in her landscaping to honor her Creator. She loved the beach, particularly in Hawaii and Maine, searching for arrowheads in Lake Wallenpaupack, empowering others through karate and women’s self defense, and time at home with her cats, koi, and waterfall garden. Carrie was always ready to help family, friends or acquaintances, often leaving unexpected gifts of plants and flowers. Her unique thoughtfulness and generosity endeared her to many and will be greatly missed.
Also surviving are her sister Diane Homeyer, brother-in-law Jim Fiore and their daughter, as well as aunts and uncles.
The family invites you to celebrate Carrie’s life on Saturday, July 7 at 1:00pm at the Light of Christ Church, 2071 Moosic Lake Rd. Route 247, Mount Cobb, Jefferson Township PA 18436 with services by the Rev. Pat Lee with fellowship to follow.
