Daniel D. Rynearson formerly of Morristown, NJ and Port Orange, FL died Saturday at home following a long illness. His wife was the former Mickey Lightfoot who died January 17, 2014. A master journeyman of 40 years in the Local Carpenters Union 620, he also served the Eagles Club and American Legion. A true champion and leader in all endeavors whether gardening, bowling, fishing or horseshoes, Dan could be a worthy opponent. Dan was a sharpshooter in the 1st Marine Division 2nd Battalion in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre during World War II. Surviving are children Linda Powers and her husband Edward of Starlight, PA, DiAnn Masterfano of Morris Plains, NJ, Daniel D. Jr. and his wife Bernice of Morristown, NJ and James F. of Long Eddy, NY; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; He was the beloved brother of Elsie Carver of Port Orange, FL, Butch Rynearson of Cedar Knolls, NJ, Pinky Cobb of Thornton, PA, and Barbara Murphy of Morristown, NJ. He was preceded in death by a brother and sisters Ruth Ditts, Buddy Rynearson, and Florence Potter. A private Memorial Service will be held at a future date for both Mickey and Danny whose lifelong journey enriched everyone who knew them. Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel. |
