David Joseph Englert “Mickey” of Lake Ariel died peacefully with his family at his side, Wednesday at home following an illness. His wife is former JoAnn Noble. Born in Scranton, son of the late Jeanette Hughes Englert, he was a member of the Local 130 Laborers Union working construction for over 20 years and after retirement he worked for Security Services for 10 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Also surviving are a son John W. Englert and his wife Deborah of Lake Ariel, daughters Michelle Estus and her partner John Evans of Madison Twp., Lori Bieber and her husband George of Moosic, Cynthia Howe and her partner David Phillips of Old Forge and a daughter-in-law Kim Phillips of Taylor; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son David Englert, Jr. and a sister Betty Provinzano. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 7:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel with services by Rev. Arthur Davis. Friends may call Tuesday from 5:00-7:00pm. Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
