Donald B. Stevens, Jr. of Ft. Pierce, FL and formerly of Lake Wallenpaupack died Wednesday at Regional Hospital of Scranton following a brief illness. His wife of 58 years is the former Ruth Schank. Born in Scranton, son of the late Donald B. and Melita Brooks Stevens, he worked as a Rail Operations for the Railroad Company. He was a active member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Scranton, Lakeville United Methodist Church and the First United Methodist Church in Ft. Pierce, FL. He was a member of the Green Ridge F. & A.M. Lodge 0597 and Salem F. & A.M. Lodge 330. He enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, and boating as a child on Lake Winola and as an adult on Lake Wallenpaupack, and he also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. He was passionate about his family and loved spending time with them. Also surviving are sons William of Lake Ariel and Mark and his wife Debra of Milford; daughters Marilyn Smith and her husband Greg of Pittstown, NJ and Cynthia McGinnis and her husband Kevin of Honesdale; grandchildren Max, Jake, Luke, and Grace Stevens, Jesse and Erin Smith, and Donald and Megan McGinnis; two nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his twin brother Elbert Stevens. Funeral Services were held at the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel. Interment took place in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
