Neal Hollister, 56, Hollisterville, died Sunday in the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit after an illness. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Warren and Winifred Masters Hollister. He was a graduate of Western Wayne High School Class of 1978 He was a school bus drivier in the Western Wayne School District for many years. Prior to his illness, he worked for Maiocco Excavating Company. Neal enjoyed watching NASCAR races, working in the garage on cars and he especially loved his trucks. He had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. His humor will live fondly in the memories of all who loved him. Surviving are brothers, Paul and his wife Rhodine and Alvin and his wife Nancy all of Hollisterville; nieces and nephews among them his niece and devoted caregiver Denise Kautz who he thought of as his own daughter, and her husband Donald. He was also preceded in death by a brother Lynn in 1999. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the dedicated nurses and staff at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their kindness and compassionate care.
