June M. Mead

June M. Mead, 88, of Moscow, passed away Friday morning at Abington Manor in S. Abington Twp. Her husband of 62 years, Ellis J. Mead passed away in 2022.

Born in Peckville, Pa she was the daughter of the late Wellington and Marie Kotschessa  Snyder. She was a graduate of Blakely High School. June worked alongside her husband on their Dairy and Veal farm until their retirement. She was a member of the Madisonville Christian Church.

June was an avid reader and loved her crossword puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are a son Matthew Mead and his wife Kimberly of Madison Twp.; a daughter Diane Woehrle and her husband Walter of Moscow; a brother Wellington “Bill” Snyder and his wife Cindy of Shippensburg; grandchildren Joshue Woehrle (Gina), Tina Howe (Christopher), Jamie Fischer (Jeffrey), Casey Shaffer (Kristopher), and Madison Mead; great grandchildren Elizabeth Woehrle, Kaylee Woehrle, Abigail Woehrle, Jack Woehrle, Jeffrey Howe, Catherine Howe, Kenneth Fischer, Elsie Fischer, Emma Shaffer, and Lucas Shaffer.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel with services by Pastor Scot Schlitter.

Friends may call from 9:00am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Interment, Madisonville Union Cemetery, Madison Twp.
