Penny Rosengrant, 77, Lake Ariel PA, left this world peacefully to dance with the angels on July 12, 2024, at the home of her daughter Wendy Kelly after a short battle with cancer. Her husband Ronald preceded her in death on October 14, 2023, and lovingly welcomed her with open arms along with their beloved pup Muffin. Penny was born in Bridgeport, CT in 1946 to the late Henrietta Abbott Beaulieu and the late Arthur Burdge. She graduated from Bunnell High School in Stratford, CT and went on to marry her high school sweetheart John Rhodes Jr. Together, they had 4 children, Tammy Grossman (Bob), Wendy Kelly (Tim), John Rhodes III (Ann), and Penny King (Joe). After the death of John, she met and married the love of her life Ronald C. Rosengrant. Together, they were inseparable and made many memories together doing what they loved to do most, camping. They traveled the country and were able to enjoy their retirement together. After their adventures across the country, they settled at their favorite place that they called home, Ponderosa Pines Campground. Penny retired as a shipping manager for PBS Brushes Co. where she made many lifelong friends. She was a member of the Cortez Community Church, Cortez VFW Aux and the American Legion Post 869 Archbald. Surviving are her 4 children; grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved dearly; her uncle and aunt, Fred and Fran Beam; niece Dawn, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her sister Doreen Wellner. She will be missed terribly by her children and grandchildren who loved her a bushel and a peck. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their loving care and support. The family would also like to thank all their friends and family for all the love and support.
