Carolyn “Granny” Butler, Moscow, passed away Saturday afternoon in the Allied Services Hospice Center after a sudden illness. Her husband of 43 wonderful years is Ronald Butler. Born 1937 in Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer and Ruby Bartelson Hibbs and was educated in Newfoundland schools and attended Mansfield College. She went on to work in many fields but her most rewarding and important employment was with the Pathways of Inner Healing where she served in many capacities but most importantly shared her love and comfort with everyone. Granny will be deeply missed by those who were blessed to have known her and been loved by her. Also surviving are her children Gregory Kovaleski and his wife Brenda, Scott Kovaleski and his wife Renee Pierre, Donna Diaz and her husband Luis all of Lake Ariel; a daughter in law Tisha Kovaleski; grandchildren; great grandchildren; sisters Lois Hobbs and her companion Mary, Margaret Carbaugh and her husband Robert and brother George Hibbs and his wife Lyndsay; sister in law Kathy Hibbs. She was also preceded in death by her son Michael Kovaleski and her brother Wilmer Hibbs. Services and interment, will be private and at the convenience of the family.
