Warren L. Jaggars, Sr., 78 of South Canaan, passed away peacefully Monday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale after a short illness. His loving wife of 38 years is the former Linda Bakay. Born in Lake Ariel, he was the son of the late Merel and Irene Chapman – Jaggars. He was a graduate of Lake Consolidated School. Prior to retirement he was a night shift supervisor at S.J. Baileys, Co. in Honesdale and a custodian in the Western Wayne School District. He was a member of the New Covenant Fellowship Church in Hawley. Warren was an avid hunter who enjoyed nature, bird watching, and fellowship with the Band of Brothers at his church. His priorities were his family and church family. Also surviving are his daughters Debra Roberts and her husband David of Lake Ariel and Susan Gordan and her husband Ruben of Lakeville; sons Warren L. Jaggars, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Hawley; step-son Andrew J. Derrick and his wife Amy of Lake Ariel; brother Merel Jaggars, Jr. and his wife Audrey of Waymart; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins. Warren adored his fur-babies Payne and Scotty. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Frederick, and grandsons Lenny and Logan. Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory in the James Wilson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 12:00 Noon in the New Covenant Fellowship Church, 53 Columbus Ave. Hawley, Pa with services by Pastor Ron Schutz.
