Darrell Wayne Chumard, Hamlin, passed away Friday morning in Regional Hospital of Scranton after an illness. His wife is the former Sally Wood. Born 1953 in Sidney, New York to the late Franklin and Emma Bidwell Chumard, Darrell was lovingly raised by Aloma Peters and the late Wayne and Marion Edwards. Darrell was employed by Consolidated Freight, Hertzog Trucking and he retired from PennDOT. He was a member of the Salem Community Church, Hamlin. Darrell enjoyed going to truck shows, hunting with his friends at the 4 Corners Hunting Camp on Armenia Mountain, and taking trips with Sally and his family. He was a fan of NASCAR, football and basketball. Surviving are children Matthew Chumard and his wife Starr and Jennifer Efferson and her husband Nathan; stepchildren Mellissa Kerrigan, Frank Roche and his wife Linda, Michael Buck and his wife Alkaline; twelve beloved grandchildren who thought their Pop Pop hung the moon; nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
