William E. “Bill” Lutz

William E. “Bill” Lutz of Scranton who surrounded by loved ones was carried on angel’s wings to Heaven on March 5, 2015.

Born in Lake Ariel, son of the late Loren and Catherine Edwards Lutz, he was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated School. He had several successful and varied careers with the most recent being a school bus driver.

Bill’s love of people and his genuinely happy smile and hearty laugh are what he will be best remembered for. He loved travel of any kind, flying, rail, cruising, road trips, camping, seeing new places and meeting new people. Sitting around a campfire with family and friends was a favorite pastime. Bill loved photography, but even more so, sharing his pictures and their stories.

Surviving are his children Sharon DeSanto of New Mexico, Debra Tucker and her husband Blaine of Lake Ariel, David Lutz and his companion Josephine Huertas of Lake Ariel, and Dawn Salak and her husband Bill of S. Canaan; a son of the heart, Lee Rosenkrans and his wife Diane of Dunmore; a sister Elsie Enslin of Simpsonville, SC; his companion, friend and caregiver Bernadette Wagner with whom he resided; in addition Bill leaves behind 10 grandchildren, including the apple of his eye, Hope Tucker of Mt. Cobb; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a grandson Nicholas Smith.

Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:00am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Monday from 9:30am until time of service.

Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
