Vera C. Lamberton of S. Canaan died suddenly Tuesday. Her husband was the late Frank Lamberton Sr. who died in 1997.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Vera Gershey Krall.

She loved hunting and she did so until she was 89 years old. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, fishing, and the outdoors. She traveled to several Western States and went as far as Alaska. Vera was the first Woman to run for Wayne County Sheriff in 1975.  Her true joy and passion in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are daughters Teresa Sverduk of Cherry Ridge and Carol Sell and her husband Daniel of Prompton; sons Frank, Jr. and his wife Rosemary of S. Canaan, Martin and his wife Damaris of Lake Ariel, Philip and his wife Sandy of Tafton, Paul and his wife Tracy of S. Canaan and Timothy and his wife Jennie of S. Canaan; a sister Elizabeth Barrows of Clarks Summit; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother Anthony Krall.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday March 10^th at 11:00am  in the Canaan Bible Chapel 30 Hemlock Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call from 9:30am until time of service at the Church.

Private interment was held in the East Canaan Cemetery, S. Canaan.
