She was the widow of Robert Ward. Born in Dickson City, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Dominka Maslowski Borkowski. Valeria was a member of the St. Catherine of Sienna Parish, Moscow. Surviving are daughters Carol Evans of Lake Ariel, Valerie Burke of Scranton and Diane Pontosky of Sterling; sons Robert Ward of Dunmore, Edward Ambrozevitch of Maryland and Thomas Ambrozevitch of North Carolina; grandchildren Michael and Brian Evans, Justin, Corey and Shane Pontosky and David, Brad, Tom, and Nicole Ambrozevitch; great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass and interment were held at the convenience of the family.
