imothy J. O’Sullivan, Jr., 54, South Canaan, died Thursday peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Timmy was born April 6, 1960 in Staten Island, New York to Timothy O’Sullivan, Sr and the late Janice Ihnken O’Sullivan who passed away in 1988. He graduated from Honesdale High School in 1978. He worked for the Lake Ariel Post Office for over 25 years.
Timmy enjoyed spending time at the ponds on his property, attending replica watches concerts and having a few beers with friends and family. He also loved his dogs Minnie and Winnie. Timmy will always be remembered for his quick wit, his jovial and adventurous personality, good nature and generosity to family and friends. He lived life on his own terms.

The family would like to thank Dr. Naomi Hass and the staff of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where Timmy courageously participated in an 18month clinical trial for the treatment of advanced kidney cancer. They would also like to thank the Commonwealth Home Health and Hospice of NEPA for Timmy’s care and support in his final days.

He is survived by his siblings Kathleen Warner and her husband Bryan, Eileen O’Sullivan and her husband Richard, William O’Sullivan and his companion Vicki, Nancy Baudendistel and her husband Thomas; his stepmother Shirley Macking; nieces and nephews Ashley, Steven, Olivia, Benjamin, Janice, Rachael, Gary, Billy, Brandon, Timmy, Tom, Stephanie, Katy and Colleen; great niece and nephews Brendan, Aiden and Maeve.

He was preceded in death by his sister in law Donna Stanczyk O’Sullivan in 2011.

Friends may call Saturday May 24th from 1-4 pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Cremation will follow in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family strongly encourages memorial contributions may be made to the Abramson Cancer Center Development Office 3535 Market St., Suite 750, Philadelphia, Pa. 19104. Checks should be made out to Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania, in memory of Timmy.
