Thomas Lee Lamberton, 66, The Hideout, Lake Ariel, died Monday in the Geisinger Community Medical Center.   His wife, Janie Cherry Lamberton passed away in 2014.

Born June 2, 1950 in Honesdale, he was the son of the late Robert H. and Ruth Emery Lamberton.   He grew up in the South Canaan area and graduated from Waymart High School in 1968.   Thomas was skilled in carpentry and other trades and was employed in the local construction industry before joining the staff of the Wayne Co. Redevelopment Authority where he was employed for twenty years before retiring in 2012.

Surviving are two daughters Amy Derrick and husband Andrew of Lake Ariel and Lindsey Steadman and her husband David of Mechanicsville, VA;  a brother Jack and his wife Paula of South Canaan; a sister Ellen and her husband Frank of Media, PA;  grandchildren Aidan and Avery Derrick and Kathryn Steadman whose arrival is expected in November;  many nieces and nephews.

Thomas was also preceded in death by his brothers Richard, Robert and David Lamberton.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at Noon in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Thursday morning from 11am until time of service.

Private interment will be held at a later date.
