Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00pm and Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel. Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Thomas J. Slattery, 79, of The Hideout, Lake Ariel, died Saturday October 17 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. His wife of 55 years is the former Rose Gridley. Born in Woodhaven, NY, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Stiets Slattery. Tom was a 50 year member and Past Chief of the Floral Park Fire Department Hook & Ladder Co. 2. He was a member of the St. Thomas More St. Mary Parish Community, Lake Ariel. He took great pride and joy in his grandchildren. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his grandchildren Kelly, Patricia, and Michael Slattery; a sister Patricia Chapman; Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sons Arthur and Patrick Slattery. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00am in St. Thomas More Church, 105 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel by Rev.
