A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10am in the St. Thomas More Church 108 Gravity Rd., Lake Ariel by Rev. Stephen Stavoy, pastor.

Friends may call morning from 9:00am until time of Mass at the church.

Stanley Romanski

Stanley Romanski, 98, Hamlin, died late Saturday in St. Mary’s Villa, Elmhurst Township after an illness.   His wife of 63 years is the former Theresa Loch.  The couple was married in December of 1951.

Born in Dickson City, he was the son of the late John and Mariann Glovacka Romanczuk.   Stanley was a member of the St. Thomas More – St. Mary’s Parish Community.  Prior to his retirement he had been employed as a postal carrier and was a self-employed barber in Hamlin working well into his 90’s.

Also surviving are children Susan Rooney and her husband William of Lake Ariel, Carol Romanski Fisher and her husband Wilson of Clearfield, PA, Stanley Romanski and his wife Susan of Moscow, Lorraine Cowley of Sterling, Robert Romanski of Hamlin and Leonard Romanski and his wife Elizabeth of Factoryville; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by siblings Walter, Frank, Sophie, Pearl and Helen.

Friends may call morning from 9:00am until time of Mass at the church.
