Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30am in the Light of Christ Church 2067 Moosic Lake Rd, Jefferson Township by Stan’s son Stanley E. Frey, III.

Friends may call Saturday morning from 9am until the time of service in the church.

Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

In lieu of flowers the family strongly suggests memorial contributions be made to The Light of Christ Church 2067 Moosic Lake Rd, Jefferson Township, PA 18436 or to The Gideons International P.O. Box 140800, NashvilleTN 37214-0800.

Stanley E. Frey, Jr., Dunmore, went home to meet his Lord and Savior Tuesday evening in the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit.  His wife is Reverend Patricia Sandone Lee.   His first wife was the late Betty Lamberton Frey, LPN.

Born in Hollisterville in 1925, Stan was the son of the late Stanley E., Sr and Lucy “Elmira” Wilhelm Frey.   A man of deep faith Stan had been a member of the Canaan Bible Chapel and the Hollisterville and Sterling United Methodist Churches.   He then became a devoted member of the Light of Christ Church, where he was instrumental in founding and nurturing the church in its early days.   Prior to his retirement he had been employed as a carpenter.   He was a United States Army veteran serving as a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne Division during World War II.

Also surviving are sons Stanley Frey, III and his wife Sharlene of Ohio and Carl Frey of South Canaan;  a daughter Cathy Lewis and her husband Daniel of South Canaan;  stepdaughters Gina Lee McCarthy, Kim and Ileasha Sandone Lee; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren;  a sister Marie Coombs, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter in law Judith Frey;  brothers Conrad and Roger Frey; a sister Frances Temperton.
