Ruth Kennedy, 85, a resident of Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart passed away October 3, 2015. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Asil O. Yarnes and her second husband Harold A. Kennedy.

Born October 28, 1929  in Blooming Grove, PA, daughter of the late William and Mabel Ryder Robbins. She enjoyed telling humorous stories and fishing with her sons and daughter-in-law. Ruth loved her family, watching races at Moc-A-Tek Speedway, and music.

Surviving are sons Harrison Keesler of Midland, TX, Joseph Yarnes and his wife Jacqueline of South Canaan, and Harold Kennedy and his wife Martha of White Mills; daughters Judy Ann Bishop and her companion Vince Noyes of Port St. Lucie, FL and Ruth Roman and her husband Herbert of Honesdale; a brother William Robbins of Lake Como; sister Verna Taylor and her husband George of Lakewood; grandchildren William and Michael Keesler, Shawn Bishop, Ryan Kennedy, and Tracy Ward; Four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her son Asil R. Yarnes, grandsons Michael Bishop and Paul Breidenstein, brothers Raymond, Dan, Jay, George, and Harrison Robbins, sisters Zela Skinner and Eleanor Crossman

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel with services by Rev. William Rushik.

Friends may call Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm.

Interment, Keen Cemetery, Waymart.

A luncheon will be held at the South Canaan Township Building immediately following the Internment.
