Ronald G. Davis, 78 of Lake Ariel, passed away April 7th at his home. His loving wife of 57 years is the former Maxine Sherwood.

Born in Hancock, NY, he was the son of the late Lester and Christine Lenore Morton – Davis. He was a graduate of Lake Consolidated School Class of 1963. Prior to retirement, he was a painter at General Dynamics in Eynon. A United States Air Force Veteran, Ron served in the Vietnam War.

Ron enjoyed painting crafts and spending time outdoors hunting, trapping, and fishing. He and his wife raised Peacocks, peasants, and quail. Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Also surviving are his sons Mark Davis and his wife Deby and Matthew Davis all of Lake Ariel; sisters Helen Weston and her husband Michael of Lake Ariel and Kristy Lou Lockwood of Texas; a brother Lester J. Davis of Maplewood; grandchildren Wilson Davis and his companion Mary Ellen Kelly of Hawley, Megan Blowers and her husband Cory of Honesdale, and Wyatt Davis and his wife Sierra of Honesdale; great grandchildren Mason, Jack, Jed, Ollie, and Raelynn; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother William Davis.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
