Smith, Sterling Twp., died Sunday at home after being stricken ill with short illness of pneumonia. Born 1954 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Donald and Kathryn Smith. He was a graduate of the North Pocono High School and went on to work as a master carpenter. He was of the Methodist faith. Ron served our country honorably in the United States Marines. Surviving are a daughter Veronica Smith; sisters Linda Lawrence and Ruth Thomas; brothers Edward, Thomas and James Smith; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister Karen Davidson; brothers Charles, Clarence and William Smith. Graveside service will be held Saturday at 11am in the Hornbaker Cemetery, Hornbaker Cemetery Rd. Madisonville. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to help defray funeral expenses.
