Robert Leo Pfister

Robert Leo Pfister of Hamlin died Friday at Regional Hospital of Scranton following an illness. He is survived by his loving wife of forty one years the former Jean Marie Lukeski.

Born in Trenton, NJ, son of the late Leo C. and Mary Somerruk Pfister, he was employed by Meshoppen Transport, Inc. as a long haul truck driver for the past twelve years. He accumulated many millions of miles over his forty plus year career.

Known as “Greased Lightning” by friends and fellow truckers he liked to spend time with family and always had a good story to tell. Robert will be greatly missed by all.

Also surviving are sons Jason and his girlfriend Denise of Lake Ariel and Derrick Francis Pfister and his wife Kelly of Old Forge; grandchildren Jennifer, Daniel, and Madysen; several nieces and nephews.
